Day 59 - 2/28/11 - Ballin!

Another monday night. This is a picture of me on a fast break to the basket taken from the upper walkway at the CRC gym. I'm not going to tell you if I made it or not. haha. Like all these pictures lately. This is part of a time lapse shoot which turned into a disaster. I may try again next week and make sure everything is working right.

Day 58 - 2/27/11 - Sunday Drive

Today was a Sunday. It got up to about 60 degrees too. So it was a nice day to go out for a nice drive with the windows down (and take your camera along). Day 57 - 2/26/11 - CRC!

Just another awesome weekend service at Chestnut Ridge Church in Morgantown, WV. I highly recommend you checking it out if you haven't, or checking it out again if you have already. The current series is titled "Slander, Gossip, and other hazardous waste". That's why the stage is set up with bioharzard signs.

Day 56 - 2/25/11 - Like Candy

Who knew that pregnancy could give you severe heartburn? (Picture me standing with both of my thumbs pointed to my chest)...Not this guy. But I'm here to say it's true because Ashley takes these like they are candy. I even had to go out to the parking lot during church to get this bottle out of the car one day. Only a handful more of weeks!

Day 55 - 2/24/11 - Laundry

I kept putting off laundry for about 2 weeks. Then once I finally started to do it, I found out that my dryer was broken. So with no clean clothes left, I tore into the back of that thing and found that the heating element had a break in it. I got a new one at the local appliance parts store (which was an adventure all by itself...I'll just say that in the 2 minutes I was there, the guy there said the phrase..."we really don't know if Elvis is dead do we?"). So I got the new part, fixed the dryer on my lunch break, and finally now have some clean clothes!

Day 54 - 2/23/11 - Stylin

This is Ziggy in his awesome sweater. Even though I think he likes it, I'm pretty sure he can't wait till summer to take it off and lay out on the back porch in the sun until he starts panting. Then he'll come inside and lay on the cool kitchen floor to cool off. Then he'll go outside and lay on the back porch in the sun...then come back in on the cool floor...then go out...then come in...out...in...out...in... I'm pretty sure that what he is thinking in this picture.

Day 53 - 2/22/11 - What's hers.

Yesterday I took the picture of Eli's toy that Zoie keeps thinking is hers. I really don't know why she needs it when she already has all if this in her toy basket. I think she is already jealous of Eli. haha.

Day 52 - 2/21/11 - Eli's, Not Yours!

Zoie is in love with this stuffed animal. She thinks it is her toy, but in reality it is a future to for our baby Eli whenever he comes along (less than 2 months now). She has been scolded a number of times and we often come home to find this cute little turtle in the middle of the office floor. I'm pretty sure that it doesn't hop off the second shelf of our book case by itself. Hopefully she'll learn what's hers and what will be his.

Day 51 - 2/20/11 - Oh Baby!

Ashley had yet another baby shower today and got even more stuff to fill up our newly remodeled nursery room. I set up my time lapse machine to get a video of us unpacking everything and putting it away. This is one of the shots I got. Don't you just love our 1950s floral wall paper in the hallway? No? Me neither.

Day 50 - 2/19/11 - The Joy of the New Year

We went to the movies tonight for the first time all year to see "Unknown" with Liam Neeson. The movie was good, but the best thing about the night was that I got to buy the new popcorn bucket for 2011. Oh, and spending a lovely evening with my wife was pretty good too!

Day 49 - 2/18/11 - Good Ole Morgantown.....

Morgantown, WV. Another picture I shot as part of my time lapse adventures. Unfortunately, this time lapse from today didn't turn out well so you'll probably not see it. I'll get a better one soon though.

Day 48 - 2/17/11 - Top of Our Lot

We met a contractor out at our lot today to try to get some estimates to build. While there, I ran up to the top corner of our lot and took this pictures. It was quick so it's not that great of a pic.

Day 47 - 2/16/11 - Ten Pin!

Here is what I do on each and every wednesday night from September to May. Last year, we finished the season in first place but lost in the championship game. This pic is of my teamate, Adam "the sizlin southpaw" Etris. OK. I just made up that nickname on the spot, that's not really what we call him.

Day 46 - 2/15/11 - High Street

I got a chance to get out tonight use my newly built motion control time lapse rig. I got a number of strange looks at the top of High Street as I was setting it up. This is one of the 1600 pictures that it took tonight. Just for a little tease, here's a link to a 6 seecond preview of what I made. There was much more though. Day 45 - 2/14/11 - Valentines Day.

We didn't really do anything for valentines day, but I ran up to our property out at cheat lake right after work and snapped this picture of a herd of deer that were by the road. This time of year, not even the bucks have antlers. They'll start growing those back again in the spring/summer. Who knows, there could be a monster buck in here, you just don't know.

Day 44 - 2/13/11 - Lucky

I went all day Sunday and didn't even think about taking a picture. I realized my error today and got bummed that I didn't get a picture for the day. But then I picked up my camera to review what was on there. Luckily, this picture popped up. I forgot that I spent an hour or two going over a tutorial on my camera and I took a bunch of pictures as I played with the settings. So I know it's a boring pictures, but it's all I got. Sorry.

Day 43 - 2/12/11 - Lets Go!!! Mountaineers

I spent the evening at the WVU-Depaul game this afternoon doing a special photography project. I snuck my tripod in the coliseum (not really sure if they allow tripods in since it wouldn't fit in that little box when you walk in). I didn't take my chances and walked past it with my tripod in my hand, firmly against my side. I figured someone would say something to me if I wasn't allowed to have it. This is one of the 897 photos I took while there. Lets Go!!! Mountaineers!!

Day 42 - 2/11/11 - Back on the Wagon

My pants and shirts have seemed to be shrinking over the last coupe of months. Unfortunately I don't think it had anything to do with an error in laundry. It had all to do with my lazy butt only exercising once a week. So today I got back on the wagon. I started out with my favorite workout from P90X...plyometrics! I'm sure I'm going to be feeling it tomorrow!

Day 41 - 2/10/11 - First Run

This is a motion control time lapse dolly rig. It's designed to move my camera along a track at an extremely slow rate (anywhere from 1 foot per hour to 10 feet per hour). This allows me to take interval shots on my camera, then put them together in a time lapse video. Since the rig goes so slow, when you create the time lapse, it gives an impression that the video is panning at real time, while everything else moves extremely fast. I took it to work yesterday to try it out. Here's the first ever video using my rig. The content isn't much (just me working/goofing off at work), but it's the motion that I was going for. Day 40 - 2/9/11 - Work

I got my project wrapped up last night. I took it to work to run it while I worked all day. This is one of the 999 pictures that my camera took while using my little creation today between 1:30pm and 4:30pm. I know you still don't know what I made, but you'll know soon enough. Thanks for looking.

Day 39 - 2/8/11 - It's alive!!!!

I got all of the parts in today to complete my little building project. Here is the work in progress. Hopefully by tomorrow I will have it done and then maybe I'll show you what it does. Until then, you'll just have to keep on wondering.

Day 38 - 2/7/11 - Where's My Project?

I hear you. I know you're saying..."c'mon Chad, what happened to your little photo equipment build you were working on?" Well I've been working on it, but took a break to do a bunch of stuff around the house getting ready for a baby and possibly building a house. So cut me some slack. haha. Anyway, when it comes to electronics, I know as much about it as the "bachelor" knows about true love. So there are a few items for my "build" that had to be purchased. I got some crazy deals on the internet. This picture is one of the components that I bought. It's called a pulse width modulator (sounds fancy huh?). Soon you'll see what's coming together. Until then, be patient and keep on looking.

Day 37 - 2/6/11 - Busy Day

We had a very busy day that started in Beckley and ended with the unfortunate defeat of the Steelers in the Superbowl. Now it's bedtime just before midnight. The alarm is set. goodnight.

Day 36 - 2/5/11 - Eli Gets More Gifts.

We had a baby shower for Ashley and i from my side of the family. We got a lot of goodies, or should I say, Eli got a lot of goodies. Here's Ashley enjoying opening up the gifts for him (since he cannot open them yet himself. haha).

Day 35 - 2/4/11 - Jude's Pre-Birthday Mini-Bash

OK, so it's not really a bash or even a mini-bash. But it is a pre-birthday present. Jude loves trucks so we got him a sweatshirt with nothing but trucks on it. He loved it.

Day 34 - 2/3/11 - TACOS!!!

For some reason, when I got home from work, and Ashley told me we are going to make tacos for dinner...it really hit the spot!!! Love me some tacos. This is my giant taco pre-wrapped.

Day 33 - 2/2/11 - Renovation

This is what was in all that cardboard from the last post. Our baby room is coming along quite nicely. The crib is not pictured because it's full of baby stuff and was ugly. I'm sure we'll have lots of pictures after April that have the crib in it! ;)

Day 32 - 2/1/11 - Leftovers

I spent all evening putting together baby furniture (a crib, changing table/dresser, a comfy chair, etc.). That stuff was packaged up real tight with so much cardboard that I now have a living room full of cardboard. Here's the proof. Now I just have to get it to a recycling bin somewhere, which may prove more difficult than putting together all that furniture. I don't think it will fit in either the Jeep or Xterra. Maybe the next time it snows, I'll give it to the neighbor kids to use as a sled down my yard. Or maybe I'll build a fort. Yes...that's it...a fort!
